The Town Superintendent, of Highways is hereby
empowered, pursuant to § 130, Subdivisions (1), (7), (11)
and (15), of the Town Law, in addition to his other powers, to regulate
the use of all streets and highways in the Town of Huntington over
which he has jurisdiction by persons participating in parades and
public assemblages, including children coasting or at play and other
events, and, in carrying out the foregoing powers, may, for periods
not exceeding seven consecutive days, temporarily close to the general
public streets or portions thereof to be so used.
Nothing herein contained shall be construed
to prevent the use of any street by the owner or lessee of any premises
abutting thereon for the purpose of ingress and egress to and from
such property.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon
conviction, be subject to a fine of not less than one hundred ($100)
dollars and not more than five hundred ($500) dollars or imprisonment
not exceeding 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Any person
found by the Bureau of Administrative Adjudication to have violated
the provisions of this chapter shall likewise be subject to a monetary
penalty within the range of fines authorized herein.
