There shall be a Deputy Township Clerk, appointed
by the Township Council for a term of one year. The Deputy Clerk shall
perform such duties as are prescribed by the Township Council and
by the Township Clerk. The Deputy Clerk shall, during the absence
or disability of the Township Clerk, have all of the powers and duties
of the Township Clerk. The persons holding the position of Assistant
Municipal Clerk as classified by the State Department of Personnel
shall be appointed as Deputy Township Clerk.
