As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
TRAILER
Any self-propelled or non-self-propelled vehicle or portable or semiportable
structure used or intended for use as a temporary or permanent dwelling or
sleeping place for one or more persons, including but not limited to mobile
homes, dependent and independent travel trailers, piggyback campers, camp
cars, mobile home buses and tents.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any trailer or camp car
for any period exceeding two hours on any street in the Township or on any
premises within the limits of the Township except for the purposes of repair.
If any person desires to repair or store a trailer or camp car, he shall
obtain a permit therefor from the Police Chief. Such permit shall be granted
upon request without fee and shall be valid for a period of 10 days from the
issuance thereof but may for good cause shown be renewed for a further ten-day
period or periods as necessity may require. Any such trailer or camp car undergoing
repairs or being stored shall not be used by any person as a dwelling or sleeping
place during such period of repair or storage.
This chapter shall not apply where not more than one trailer is occupied
as a temporary office by persons employed in a business on the land where
the trailer is located, provided that the premises upon which the trailer
is located shall have ample sanitary facilities as required or which may hereafter
be required by any ordinances, rules or regulations of the Township or of
the Board of Health of the Township.
