The Municipal Court created pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq. shall be continued, with all functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the aforesaid statute.
A. 
Appointment. The Judge shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, for a term of three years and shall serve until his or her successor is appointed and qualified. The Judge shall be paid in accordance with the annual Salary Ordinance.

B. 
Qualifications. The Judge shall be an attorney at law of the state and a resident thereof, but not need be a resident of the Township.
C. 
Court employees. The Municipal Court shall have a clerk and such other employees as Council may authorize. They shall be appointed and removed in the same manner and fashion as other employees of the Township. They shall be paid in accordance with the annual Salary Ordinance.
