Swimming pools — See Ch. 269.
There shall be a Swimming Pool Commission appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council. The Commission shall consist of seven members of the Township of Hillside, one of whom shall be the President of the Township Council or his Council appointee, another shall be the Township Chief Financial Officer. As to the remaining five, two shall be members of the Margaret M. Roche Swimming Pool for at least two years. The term of the five members at large shall be as follows: two-year terms that will commence on July 1 and terminate on June 30 in accordance with the date of their respective appointments. All commissioners shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties upon the same being properly certified.
The Swimming Pool Commission shall:
A. 
Hold public meetings at least once each month and any additional meetings as may be required.
B. 
Appoint a Chairperson at their first organized meeting.
C. 
Keep accurate minutes of all meetings and a copy of the minutes shall be delivered to the Mayor and Council for their review and use.
D. 
Generally supervise and control the maintenance, repair, operation and regulation of the Margaret M. Roche Memorial Swimming Pool, the play area within the swimming pool area and activities in connection therewith within the confined area of the swimming pool.
E. 
Employ a swimming pool manager on a seasonal basis and such other seasonal employees as are necessary to the operation and maintenance of the swimming pool.
