Editor's Note: This local law was passed at referendum 11-3-1998. This local law also provided that the real estate transfer tax imposed by Article II would expire and be deemed repealed after 12-31-2010. Local Law No. 15-2002, adopted 8-30-2002 and approved at referendum 11-5-2002, extended the expiration date of the real estate transfer tax to 12-31-2020; L.L. No. 14-2006, adopted 8-25-2006 and approved at referendum 11-7-2006, extended the expiration date of said tax to 12-31-2030; and L.L. No. 8-2016, adopted 7-15-2016 and approved at referendum 11-8-2016, extended the expiration of said tax to 12-31-2050.
