[Adopted as Article 527 of the Codified Ordinances]
The operator of a vehicle involved in an accident
resulting in injury to or death of any person, or damage to the property
of any one person in excess of $200 or more shall, within 24 hours
after such accident, forward a written report of such accident to
the Bureau of Police, which report may be a copy of the accident report
required to be filed with the Department of Revenue of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
The Bureau of Police may require any operator
of a vehicle involved in an accident to file supplemental reports
whenever the original report is insufficient, in the opinion of the
Bureau, and may require witnesses of accidents to render reports to
the Bureau.
