The town agrees, to the extent and under the conditions provided in
the Connecticut General Statutes, Section 7-465, to pay on behalf of any duly
appointed policeman of the town all sums which he shall become obligated to
pay by reason of liability imposed upon him by law for damages to person or
property caused by him in the performance of his duties.
