The following rules and regulations shall apply to all persons
using Dog Run:
A. Use
and responsibilities:
(1) Entry and use of dog run is at risk of the dog owner/handler.
(2) Dog owners are solely responsible and liable for damages to property,
persons and other animals by their dog(s).
(3) Hours of use are sunrise to sunset every day.
(4) No other animals other than dogs are permitted in the dog run.
(5) Small dog area is limited to dogs weighing less than 30 pounds. Small
dogs may use the large dog area, if the owner/handler feels comfortable
doing so, though this practice is not recommended.
(6) No more than three beings per handler (dog and/or children) are permitted.
(7) First-time users should consider using the dog run during off-peak
hours.
B. Health
and safety.
(1) Owners/handlers must clean up and properly dispose of waste material.
(2) Dogs must have current vaccinations to enter the dog run. Do not
bring a dog into the dog run known to have a viral or parasitic infection
or has any open wounds.
(3) Dogs are not permitted inside the dog run unattended.
(4) Owners/handlers must be within the dog run and within view and voice
control of their dog(s) at all times.
(5) Dogs displaying aggressive behavior must be removed immediately.
(6) Dogs under four months old are not permitted in the dog run.
(7) Female dogs in heat are not permitted in the dog run.
(8) Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult if any
other dogs are present in the dog run. It is strongly recommended
that small children not be brought into the dog run.
C. General
requirements:
(1) Dogs must remain on a leash until inside the dog run and entry gates
have been secured.
(2) Dogs must be licensed with Montgomery County per West Conshohocken
Borough Ordinance.
(3) Anyone creating a disturbance or violating any posted rules must
leave the dog run immediately upon request. Failure to do so may result
in being banned from using the dog run and/or being fined in an amount
not to exceed $300.
(4) West Conshohocken Borough reserves the right to close the dog run
at any time.
Any and all changes to the aforementioned rules and regulations
may be enacted by the passing of a resolution of Borough Council.
