School guards in the Borough of Wilkinsburg shall be appointed, when
vacancies in such positions shall occur, by the Mayor, subject to approval
of the Borough Council. Both men and women shall be eligible for appointments
as school guards. School guards shall receive such compensation as shall be
determined from time to time by the Borough Council and shall be furnished
with the prescribed uniform, which shall be paid for by the borough. They
shall work under the supervision of such committee of Council as shall be
designated by the Council from time to time.
