Borough of Wilkinsburg, PA Chapter 162 Housing Standards

§ 162-1 Adoption of standards.

All ordinances pertaining to the establishment of rules and regulations and adoptions of the BOCA Existing Structures Code/1987 are hereby affirmed and accepted as part of the Borough of Wilkinsburg's Land Regulation and Building Codes. The borough hereby adopts the BOCA Existing Structures Code, 1987 Edition, as amended.

§ 162-2 Issuance of permits.

All permits issued shall be required as set forth in the BOCA Existing Structures Code/1987, as amended and adopted by the Borough of Wilkinsburg, if otherwise lawful, shall be issued by the Borough Code Official as set forth herein. Said Official shall issue the permits in accordance with the fee schedule set forth in Chapter A266, Fees.

§ 162-3 Permit time limits.

All permits granted pursuant to the BOCA Existing Structures Code/1987 or other authority for issuing permits shall have a time limit consistent with the BOCA Existing Structures Code/1987, accepted as set forth herein.

§ 162-4 Fees due and payable at time of application.

All fees, as set forth in this chapter, shall be due and payable at the time any applications is accepted and any bond required herein, or otherwise shall be posted with the Borough of Wilkinsburg prior to the issuance of any permit.

§ 162-5 Fees.

All fees for said permits shall be in accordance with Ch. A266, Fees.

§ 162-6 Violations and penalties.

All persons, firms and/or corporations, upon conviction of violations of the provisions of this chapter, shall pay a fine of not less than one hundred dollars ($100.) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.) and/or serve a period of up to thirty (30) days of imprisonment.
