For the purposes of this chapter, the definitions of the words "motorcycle"
and "limited use motorcycle" as adopted by §§ 123 and 121-b
respectively of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, are incorporated herein.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any motorcycle
or limited use motorcycle on public lands not dedicated for highway purposes,
except for normal ingress and egress by duly licensed motorcycles, limited
use motorcycles and operators entering the public highway from private driveways
within the City of Cohoes.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any motorcycle
or limited use motorcycle on private lands not owned by the driver/operator
unless such individual has on his person a written statement, signed by the
land owner, which authorizes the driver/operator of any motorcycle or limited
use motorcycle to do the same.
A failure to comply with the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed
a violation, and the violator shall be liable to a fine of not more than $250
or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both, for each offense. Parents
and guardians of minors found guilty of violating this chapter shall be held
liable for any and all fines of said minors.
