The purpose of this district is to provide areas
within the Town to be used primarily for low-density, single-family
dwellings.
Permitted structures and uses shall be as follows:
B. Accessory residential uses, including:
(2) Storage sheds, dog houses, tree houses, etc.
(3) Attached and detached solar collectors.
(5) Wind mills, TV antennas, radio antennas.
Permitted uses subject to site plan approval
shall be as follows:
A. Residential:
(2) Customary home occupations not listed in §
178-19A.
B. Agriculture-related uses:
(1) Farm uses, including but not limited to: forestry,
dairy and beef cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, goats and fowl.
(3) Barns and farm accessory buildings.
(4) Temporary roadside stands, for the sale of goods produced
on-site.
C. Religious institutions:
(1) Churches, chapels, temples, synagogues and related
uses.
Uses subject to conditional permit shall be
as follows:
A. Customary home occupations, limited to:
(1) Professional offices of doctors, attorneys, dentists,
accountants, architects, engineers, insurance agents and real estate
brokers.
(2) Studios or offices for teachers, with not more than
two students simultaneously.
(3) Studios for artists, photographers and writers.
(5) Service establishments of hairdressers, barbers and
tailors.
(6) No permitted home occupation shall have more than
one assistant, secretary, coworker or personnel other than the principal
or owner.
B. Educational institutions:
(1) Public and private schools for any age group.
C. Recreational and social activities:
(1) Public and private clubs (nonprofit).
(2) Golf courses (but not miniature golf).
(3) Parks, playgrounds and campgrounds (nonprofit).
D. Boardinghouses and tourist homes.
E. Health, medical and care services:
F. Transportation and utility uses:
(1) Private air landing fields and customary accessory
uses.
(2) Public utility substations.
(4) New utility poles, lines and facilities.
