A Township Planning Commission consisting of seven members and two alternates is hereby created and established for Forks Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, pursuant to the provisions of 53 P.S. § 10201 of the Municipalities Planning Code.

The Planning Commission shall be comprised of seven members who shall be appointed for terms of office of four years, to be established on a series of overlapping terms with one or two terms expiring each year. The Planning Commission shall also include two alternate members that shall participate and vote in the absence of a quorum of the initial seven members. The two alternates shall be appointed to terms of office of four years, provided however that at the time of the initial appointment of the alternate members, one member shall be appointed for a term of two years in order to create overlapping terms.
The Planning Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred and imposed upon it as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, 53 P.S. § 10101 et seq.
