Whenever any words and phrases are used in this
article, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1
of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed
to apply to such words and phrases used herein.
The provisions of §§ 222-3 through 222-6 imposing a time limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon
any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule I attached
to and made part of this article.

No person shall park a vehicle between the hours
specified in Schedule II of any day (except Saturdays, Sundays, and
public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described
in said Schedule II attached to and made part of this article.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle for
the times specified in Schedule III of any day (except Sundays and
public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described
in said Schedule III attached to and made part of this article.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than
the time limit shown in Schedule IV at any time between the hours
listed in said Schedule IV of any day (except Sundays and public holidays)
upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule
IV attached to and made part of this article.

Trucks over four tons' gross weight are hereby
excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule
V, except for pickup and delivery on any street located in the township,
school buses operated in connection with the transportation of students
to or from any school or in connection with any school-related activity
or any vehicle registered with the New Jersey Department of Motor
Vehicles as farm machinery or a farm vehicle. Said Schedule V is attached
to and made a part of this article.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:67-16.1, the streets
or parts of streets as described in Schedule VA attached to and made
a part of this article are hereby designated as routes for trucks
over four tons. All trucks hauling a total combined gross weight of
vehicle plus load in excess of four tons shall be excluded from all
streets except from these streets which form a part of the system
of truck route.
The streets or parts of street described in
Schedule VI attached to and made a part of this article are hereby
designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VII attached
to and made a part of this article are hereby designated as through
streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each
street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are
provided for in the designations.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the intersections described in Schedule VIII attached to and made
a part of this article are hereby designated as stop intersections.
Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140,
the intersections described in Schedule IX attached to and made a
part of this article are hereby designated as yield intersections.
Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The locations described in Schedule X attached
to and made a part of this article are hereby designated as loading
zones.
The locations described in Schedule XI attached
to and made a part of this article are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XII attached
to and made a part of this article are hereby designated as bus stops.
No person shall make a left turn at any of the
locations described in Schedule XIII attached to and made a part of
this article.
No person shall make a U-turn at any of the
locations described in Schedule XIV attached to and made a part of
this article.
No person shall make a turn at any of the locations
described in Schedule XV attached to and made a part of this article.
The lane locations described in Schedule XVI
attached to and made a part of this article are designated as lane
use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.

No-passing zones are established and maintained
in the Township of Colts Neck as authorized by the New Jersey Department
of Transportation, and as described in Schedule XVII, attached to
and made a part of this article.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided
by New Jersey statute, every person convicted of a violation of a
provision of this article or any supplement thereto shall be liable
to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding
15 days, or both. The above-suggested penalty form is in conformity
with N.J.S.A. 39:4-203 and should be used as a uniform standard throughout
the state.
If any part or parts of this article are for
any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this article.

I.
Hockhockson Road.
(1)
The speed limits for both directions of traffic along
Hockhockson Road commencing at the boundary line between the Borough
of Tinton Falls and the Township of Colts Neck and running thence
to Water Street in the Township of Colts Neck shall be 40 miles per
hour.
(2)
The speed limits for both directions of traffic along
Hockhockson Road commencing from Water Street in the Township of Colts
Neck and running thence to the bridge over Hockhockson Brook in the
Township of Colts Neck (which bridge is located approximately 1,300
feet north of Obre Road) shall be 35 miles per hour.

The speed limits for both directions of traffic along
Hockhockson Road commencing from the bridge over Hockhockson Brook
in the Township of Colts Neck and running thence to Route 537 in the
Township of Colts Neck shall be 45 miles per hour.

The speed limits for both directions of traffic along
Water Street in the Township of Colts Neck shall be 35 miles per hour.
K.
The speed limit for both directions of traffic along
Brookview Drive for its entire length is established at 25 miles per

Heyers Mill Road starting from its intersection with Route 537 and

Boundary Road commencing from Vandeveer - Crine Road in the Township
of Colts Neck and running thence to Silver Colt Road in the Township

limit for both directions of traffic on all access roads and parking
areas in all Township parks, including but not limited to Town Hall
Park, Bucks Mill Park, Five Points Park, Laird Road Park and Obre
Road Preserve, shall be established at 15 miles per hour.

Regulatory signs (24 inches wide by 30 inches
high), warning signs (diamond-shaped, 30 inches by 30 inches) and
advisory speed plates (18 inches by 18 inches), as specified in the
current Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and
Highways Bureau of Public Roads, except where superseded by Title
39 of the New Jersey Revised Statutes and/or as otherwise specified
in the letter of authorization of the State of New Jersey, Department
of Law and Public Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Traffic Safety
Service, dated December 23, 1963, shall be installed to the right
of the roadway known as "County Road 537" facing northbound traffic
and to the right of the roadway known as "County Road 537" facing
southbound traffic.
