The Building Inspector of the Town of Webster shall enforce the provisions of the Building Code.[1]
Editor's Note: Original Sec. 170.2, Building height, of the General Bylaws, as amended 5-11-1998 ATM, Art. 3, which immediately followed this section, was deleted 5-11-2009 ATM, Art. 26, as duplicative of Zoning Bylaw provisions. See specific height requirements throughout Ch. 650, Zoning, as well as § 650-33, Height.
Before a building or structure can be demolished or removed, the owner or agent shall notify all utilities such as water, sewer, electric, gas and other connectors. A permit to demolish or remove a building or structure shall not be issued until a release in writing is obtained from the utilities stating that their respective service connection has been disconnected.
[Added 10-16-2017 ATM by Art. 13]
Adoption. The Town has adopted the provisions of 780 CMR Appendix 115.AA (i.e., Appendix 115.AA of the State Building Code or the "Stretch Energy Code"), as it may be amended from time to time, and incorporated said 780 CMR Appendix 115.AA into the Town's General Bylaws by reference.
Purpose. The purpose of the Stretch Energy Code shall be to provide the Town with a more energy efficient alternative to the base energy code otherwise applicable to the relevant sections of the State Building Code for both new commercial and residential construction and existing commercial and residential buildings.
