The position of Deputy Municipal Clerk is hereby
created in and for the Borough of Oradell, subject to the provisions
of this chapter and in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be appointed
by the Mayor with the approval of the Council, and the term of office
shall be at the pleasure of the Borough Council.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall, during the
absence or disability of the Municipal Clerk, have all the powers
of the Municipal Clerk and shall perform the functions and duties
of such office.
The Deputy Municipal Clerk shall receive such
compensation as shall be prescribed from time to time by the salary
ordinances of the Borough of Oradell.
