There is hereby created a Town Street Commissioner, hereinafter referred to as the "Commissioner." His territorial jurisdiction shall extend over all subdivision of land within the Town limits of Myersville.

The Commissioner shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council, and the Commissioner at the time this article becomes effective shall serve until the expiration of his present term of office. The Commissioner shall be authorized to appoint advisors who may advise him in his duties, if the Commissioner deems it necessary. The Commissioner and the members selected shall serve without compensation; and any member may be removed by the Commissioner for inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office. Each time a Commissioner is appointed by the Mayor, the Commissioner reserves the right to appoint or reappoint his advisors. The Commissioner may appoint such employees as he may deem necessary for his work, and may also contract with planner, engineers, architects and other consultants for such services as he may require. The expenditures of the Commissioner, exclusive of gifts, shall be under such conditions and within the amounts appropriated for the purpose by the Council. The Council shall provide the funds, equipment, and accommodations necessary for the Commission’s work.[1]

The Commissioner shall have the power to enforce or have enforced all rules and regulations passed by the Mayor and Council regarding street and highway activities.
Not more than four advisors shall be appointed by the Commissioner.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions as set forth by the Commissioner shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction before the District Court of Maryland for Frederick County, shall, for each offense, be fined not less than $5 nor more than $300, with each day's continuance of a violation consisting of a separate offense.

A. 
The Treasurer shall provide a bond with corporate surety and in an amount as set from time to time by Mayor and Council.
B. 
The Treasurer shall receive as compensation for services as the Town Treasurer a sum as set from time to time by Mayor and Council.
