The position of Deputy Tax Collector is hereby
created for the Township of South Harrison.
The Deputy Tax Collector shall be a part-time
position and the amount of hours spent per week and the scheduling
of those hours shall be specified by the Township Committee and shall
be subject to change from time to time by the Township Committee.
The Deputy Tax Collector shall be authorized
to receive tax payments, issue receipts, post payments, make deposits,
handle correspondence and perform general clerical duties for the
Tax Collector's Office.
This appointment shall be for a calendar year,
each term ending December 31, but may be terminated prior to December
31, of any year, by the Township Committee, at any time, upon thirty-day
advance notice to the Deputy Tax Collector.
