Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:10A-1 et seq., known
as the "Local Historians Enabling Act," there is hereby created in
the Borough of Caldwell the office of Local Historian.
The Local Historian shall be appointed by the
Mayor with the approval of the Borough Council.
The Local Historian shall be a resident of the
Borough of Caldwell unless this requirement is waived by resolution
of the Borough Council.

The Local Historian shall be appointed and shall
serve as determined by Borough Council.
The Local Historian shall serve without compensation,
but the Borough Council may annually appropriate such funds as may
be necessary to reimburse the Local Historian for expenses incurred
in the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office.
The Local Historian shall have the powers, duties,
responsibilities and obligations as set forth in the Local Historians
Enabling Act, N.J.S.A. 40:10A-1 et seq.
