The Village will extend its facilities upon
application of interested property owners and the payment in advance
of the estimated cost of the extension necessary to render service
to the property in question.
The Village reserves the right to select the
size of pipe necessary, the type of material and the method of construction
to be used on all main extensions. If the property owner desires to
contract himself for any extension, such pipelines must be laid in
accordance with the rules and regulations and to the specifications
of the Village, and such work shall be done under the approval of
the Village and its consulting engineer. If the Village should elect,
it shall place an inspector on the work, whose salary and expenses
shall be paid by the owner.
Upon completion, all pipeline extensions shall
become the property of the Village. After the date of acceptance,
the Village shall assume responsibility for maintenance.
[Amended 12-17-1991 by L.L. No. 9-1991; 8-28-2001 by L.L. No. 6-2001]
Extensions in new or undeveloped territory will be subject to special contract between the Village and the applicant. An implementation fee shall be charged. This charge shall augment the facilities of the Village, such as wells, storage tanks and transmission mains. The charge shall be computed by multiplying the figure provided in Chapter
82, Fees and Deposits, by the number of buildable plots shown on the developer's map to be filed with the public authorities. Such extensions will be subject to all rules and regulations set forth herein and all charges for water service stated in the Village's schedule of rates, as the same may be in effect from time to time.
