Pursuant to the authority in Section 501(c) of the Act (Pennsylvania Construction Code Act), 35 P.S. § 7210.501(c), there is hereby created the East Brandywine Township Board of Appeals (the "Board of Appeals"). The Board of Appeals shall hear appeals from decisions of the East Brandywine Township Building Official which are filed pursuant to the Act and the Township's building codes.
The Township hereby appoints the following 14 qualified individuals as a pool from which five individuals may be selected at the time an appeal is filed to serve as the hearing board of the East Brandywine Township Board of Appeals for the said appeal. These 14 individuals shall serve until such time as successor members are appointed by the Township Board of Supervisors pursuant to a resolution of the Township.[1]

Editor's Note: The names of the aforementioned 14 members, as well as those of any successor members, are on file in the Township offices.
Any member of the Board who is hereafter appointed shall serve a five-year term or until a successor member is appointed by the Board of Supervisors. An appointment to fill a vacancy shall be only for the unexpired portion of the term.
The qualifications of the Board of Appeals shall be as designated in the Act and the regulations promulgated thereto, 34 Pa Code § 403.121.
The Board of Appeals shall adopt its own rules and procedures to govern its operations consistent with the Act.
