A. 
The Borough of Littlestown adopts the 2003 edition of the International Plumbing Code, regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems in the Borough of Littlestown; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and repealing all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
B. 
That a certain document, located in the office of the Code Enforcement Officer of the Borough of Littlestown, being marked and designated as the International Plumbing Code, 2003 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the Borough of Littlestown, in the State of Pennsylvania, regulating and governing the design, maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Plumbing Code on file in the office of the Borough of Littlestown are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 174-15.
The following sections are hereby revised:
A. 
Section 101.1. Insert "Borough of Littlestown."
B. 
Section 106.6.2. Replace "The fee for all plumbing work shall be in accordance with the schedule established in Article XII of this chapter."
C. 
Section 106.6.3. Delete.
D. 
Section 108.4. Replace "As outlined in Article XIII of this chapter."
E. 
Section 108.5. Insert "$100 and $1,000."
F. 
Section 305.6.1. Remove. Not applicable, as the Borough has no private sewage disposal systems.
G. 
Section 904.1. Insert "12 inches minimum."
H. 
New Section 1204.3. Add "Public Systems Available. A public water main or public sewer system shall be considered available to a building when the building is located within 150 feet of the public water main or sewer."
I. 
The issuance of any and all plumbing permits shall be contingent upon, and all plumbing permits shall require, the furnishing and proper installation by the recipient of a backflow preventer in and at all connections to the Borough of Littlestown public water system.
