There is hereby established in the Borough of Littlestown, Adams County, Pennsylvania, a Recreation Board, as provided by the Borough Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Such Board shall consist of seven members, one of which shall be a member of the Littlestown Area School Board, or shall be appointed by said Board from within the Littlestown Area School District.

The six members of such Board shall be appointed by the Borough Council of the Borough of Littlestown and shall serve for terms of three years or until their successors are appointed. The School Board member of such Board shall serve for a term of one year and shall be appointed annually by the Littlestown Area School District.
Vacancies in such Board occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments.
The members of such Board shall elect their own Chairman and Secretary and select all other necessary officers to serve for a period of one year, and may employ such persons as may be needed, as authorized by Chapter 27 of the Borough Code.
The power to equip, operate and maintain recreation places shall be exercised by such Recreation Board, and such Board shall be subject to all the responsibilities of the respective authorities under Chapter 27 of the Borough Code.
