Pursuant to the provisions of the New Jersey Laws of 1958, Chapter 121, as amended, N.J.S.A. 40:23-6.26 to 40:23-6.29, and the New Jersey Laws of 1971, Chapter 198, as amended, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10, 40A:11-11 and 40A:11-12, the Township is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with the County of Burlington and the State of New Jersey for the joint use by the Township and other municipalities of the County of Burlington for administrative services and facilities of the offices of the purchasing agent of the county and state appropriate to the procurement of certain materials, supplies and equipment which may be determined to be required from time to time by the Township and which the Township may otherwise lawfully purchase for itself. The services and facilities of the offices of the purchasing agency of the county and state shall be provided without cost to the Township.
The proper Township officials are authorized and empowered to execute on behalf of the Township all such intergovernmental contracts as may be authorized herein and approved by ordinance or resolution of the Township Committee.
A. 
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5), the Township Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a cooperative pricing agreement with the lead agency or any other contracting unit within the County of Burlington for the purchase of work, materials and supplies.
B. 
The lead agency entering into contracts on behalf of the Township shall be responsible for complying with the provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.) and all other provisions of the Revised Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
