There is hereby created the position of Recycling
Operator for the Township of Little Egg Harbor.
A.
Under the direction of the Municipal Recycling Coordinator,
the Recycling Operator shall operate, adjust and maintain machinery
used in shredding, baling, crushing, and/or compacting solid waste
material. The Recycling Operator may also operate mechanical equipment
such as front-end loaders, forklifts, and bulldozers to move, lift,
load and/or transport said material. The Recycling Operator shall
also perform other related work as required.
B.
To be appointed to the position of Recycling Operator,
an individual shall possess the following:
(1)
One year of experience involved in controlling the
operation of large-scale industrial equipment and machines.
(2)
A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and applicable
endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated.
(3)
A driver's license valid in New Jersey, only if the
operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary
to perform essential duties of the position.
