Deductions in salary for leave without pay shall
be computed on the basis of salary and pay periods as prescribed in
the Salary Ordinance in effect in the Township at the time of leave.
Salary increments may be granted to each employee
effective January 1 of each year until the employee's salary shall
have reached the maximum salary provided for his position title by
the Township ordinance. No employee, however, shall be granted an
annual salary increment until his department head has certified in
writing to the Municipal Manager that during the past year the employee's
performance and services were such as to make him deserving of an
increase, setting forth the basis for such conclusion. In the case
of employees who will have served less than one full year as of January
1, the increment shall be in compliance with the Salary Ordinance.
