For the purpose of this chapter, the Township of Mount Laurel is hereby divided into the following classes of districts or zones:
R-1 Residence District
R-1D Residence District
R-2 Residence District
R-3 Residence District
R-4 (PARC) Planned Adult Retirement Community District
R-5 Townhouse -- Garden Apartment District
R-6 Single-Family District
R-7 Multifamily District
PUD Planned Unit Development District
MC Major Commercial Planned Development District
Neighborhood Commercial District
Business District
Business Development Overlay Zone
Specially Restricted Industrial District
Industrial District
Floodplain District
R-8 Residence District
O-1 Office District
O-2 Office District
O-3 Office-Residential District
Outdoor Recreation Conservation Zone
Senior Affordable Apartments District
MH-MF Marne Highway Multifamily District
FR-MX Fostertown Road Mixed-Use District
The boundaries of districts shall be as shown on the map attached to and made a part of this chapter, which map shall be known as the "Zoning Map of Mount Laurel Township." Said map and all notations, references, exhibits and data shown hereon are hereby incorporated by reference into this chapter and shall be as much a part of this chapter as if all were fully described herein.[1]

The boundaries between districts are, unless otherwise indicated, either the center lines of streets or railroad rights-of-way or such lines extended or lines parallel or perpendicular thereto. Where figures are shown on the Zoning Map between a street and a district boundary line, they indicate that the district boundary line runs parallel to the street line at a distance therefrom equivalent to the number of feet so indicated.
