[HISTORY: Adopted by the Annual Town Meeting of the Town

Constables shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen from
time to time in such numbers as the Board deems necessary in accordance
with the provisions of MGL c. 41, § 91B, and shall have
such authority, responsibilities and jurisdiction as provided by law.

Constables shall be appointed for a term of one year and shall
be residents of the Town of Fairhaven or the City of New Bedford.
They shall pay a licensing fee of $25.
