The operation, use or maintenance of any motor vehicles, whether registered or unregistered, by any person other than a Town employee or officer acting within the scope of his/her employment or office with the Town or under the terms of a contract with the Town upon any area of land owned, maintained or operated by the Town, other than a public way, a private way, recorded right-of-way or designated drive or parking area, is hereby prohibited unless expressly authorized by prior written consent of the Select Board or other Town agency having control of that land.
