Candidates for elective office shall be registered voters in Dover as required by M.G.L. ch. 41, §
1. Candidates for appointive office shall meet the requirements of the relevant state statutes and Dover bylaws. Appointed members of a Town committee, other than an appointed official, shall be registered voters in Dover; the Board of Selectmen may waive this requirement in a specific case.
Elected and appointed officials and appointed
members of Town committees shall comply with the Open Meeting Law,
M.G.L. ch. 39, § 23B, and the Conflict of Interest Law and
regulations of the Commonwealth, M.G.L. ch. 268A, as well as all other
laws applicable to their positions.
Temporary committees shall be given a charge
and a term certain. The method of appointment and term of membership
shall be defined by the appointing authority.
Boards and committees shall file approved meeting
minutes with the Town Clerk within 60 days and in accordance with
M.G.L. ch. 66, §§ 10(a), 12.
