Buildings and land — See Ch. 81.
In May of each year, the following officers shall be appointed:
A.
An Inspector of Gas Piping and Gas Appliances, who shall
hold office one (1) year or until his successor is appointed. Said Inspector
shall be a licensed plumber or a licensed gas fitter and shall enforce the
rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Health and the State Gas Installation
Code, MGL C. 737.
B.
An Inspector of Plumbing, who shall hold office one (1)
year or until his successor is appointed. Said Inspector shall be a licensed
plumber and shall enforce the rules and regulations adopted by the Board of
Health and the State Plumbing Code, MGL C. 142.
C.
An Inspector of Wiring, who shall hold office one (1)
year or until his successor is appointed. Said Inspector shall be a licensed
electrician and shall enforce the rules and regulations adopted by the Board
of Selectmen and the State Wiring Code, MGL C. 143.
As required by Massachusetts State law, permits are necessary for all
new construction and renovations, which must be inspected.
Modular homes shall be in the same category as new construction.
