A. The Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual is a compilation
of policies and procedures which govern and affect personnel administration
for all administrative departments within the jurisdiction of the Borough
of Saddle River. The purpose of the manual is to improve the quality of the
personnel management function.
B. In addition, the manual serves as a repository which
codifies existing rules and procedures relating to personnel administration
in the Borough of Saddle River. Its intent is to provide an orderly explanation
of personnel regulations which aid in assuring equitable and fair treatment
of applicants and employees in selection and promotion, and in the provision
of benefits and compensation without regard to political views, race, national
origin, sex, religion, age or disability, provided that the latter does not
directly affect job performance.
A. The Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual is hereby adopted
and incorporated herein, in its entirety, by reference.
B. Revisions may be made to the manual from time to time
by the adoption of a resolution by the Mayor and Council.
