As used in this chapter, the following terms
shall have the meanings indicated:
FRONT YARD
The open space on the same lot with the principal building
extending the full width of the lot between the front lot line and
the principal building, as measured at right angles to the front lot
line.

No person shall display or offer for sale any
merchandise, including but not limited to food sales. This would also
prohibit dining upon the front yard of any property within the Borough.
Outdoor sales are prohibited in the R-1 Residential Zone, R-2 Residential
Zone, R-3 Residential Zone, R-4 Luxury Townhouse Zone and PUD Planned
Unit Development Zone unless specifically permitted by another provision
within the Code of the Borough of Saddle River

A. Only in the B-1 Retail Business Zone and the O-1 Office
Zone in the Borough of Saddle River shall outdoor sales of and display
of merchandise for sale be allowed.
B. Special outdoor sales events, such as tent sales,
shall be allowed twice per year for each retail establishment within
the above designated zones. Each special outdoor sales event may be
no longer than three consecutive days each time when the sale is approved
and conducted as an extension of a legally established business operating
in the B-1 Retail Business Zone or the O-1 Office Zone.
C. An appropriate application shall be received by the
Borough Clerk 20 days prior to the commencement of the special outdoor
sales event. Said application shall be reviewed for health, safety
and welfare issues by the Chief of Police and the Public Safety Director.
Final approval of each special outdoor sales event shall be made by
concurrent authorization of the Police Chief, Public Safety Director,
Borough Clerk and the Mayor

Violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
III, General Penalty.
