numbers shall be placed near the walk, driveway or common entrance to the
land on which the building is erected or upon a gatepost, rural mailbox, fence,
tree or other appropriate place so as to be easily discernible from the street.
It shall be unlawful to cover any house number with any sign, drapery
or obstruction tending to cause such number to be invisible.
