A Board of Health is hereby created for the
Borough of North Arlington, New Jersey.

Said Board of Health shall hereafter be composed
of seven members: two who shall serve for the term of one year, two
who shall serve for the term of two years and three who shall serve
for the term of three years. The terms of office herein set forth
shall apply only for the original appointments to be made upon the
adoption of this article. All appointments thereafter shall be for
a term of three years. The members of the present Board of Health
shall continue in office until the expiration of their respective
terms for which they were originally appointed and by the passage
and adoption of this article shall be considered as having been reappointed
for said unexpired term.

A. All appointments to the Board of Health shall be made
by the Council by resolution at the organizational meeting of said
Council on January 1 of each year, or as soon thereafter as may be
convenient, at either a regular or special meeting called for that
purpose. The term of office of each appointee shall be deemed to have
commenced as of the organizational day of said Council of the year
in which such appointment has been made, it being the purpose herein
that all appointments to the Board of Health be uniform, commencing
and expiring as of the organizational day of the Council.
B. The members shall serve for their respective terms
and shall be removable only upon the presentation of charges and cause
shown and after a hearing before the Council of the Borough of North
Arlington.
Said Board of Health shall have the power to
pass all necessary ordinances, rules and regulations necessary for
the proper maintenance of good health and proper sanitation in said
Borough of North Arlington.
