A code known as the "New Jersey State Sanitary
Code," promulgated by the Public Health Council of the New Jersey
State Department of Health after public hearing pursuant to N.J.S.A.
26:1A-7, is hereby adopted by the Board of Health of the Borough of
North Arlington. A copy of said code is annexed hereto and made a
part hereof without the inclusion of the text thereof herein. The
chapters of the said code adopted herein are as follows:
A. Chapter I, Local Board of Health and Personnel, as
promulgated in 1917, latest revision in 1953.
B. Chapter II, Reportable Diseases, as promulgated in
1917, latest revision in 1965, effective November 15, 1966.
C. Chapter III, Animals and Birds: Importation, Quarantine
and Herd Testing Program, as promulgated in 1917, latest revision
in 1968.
D. Chapter IV, Laboratories, as promulgated in 1953,
latest revision in 1964.
E. Chapter V, Preparation, Handling, Transportation,
Burial and Disinterment of Dead Human Bodies, as promulgated in 1946,
latest revision in 1953.
F. Chapter VI, Boarding Homes for Children, as promulgated
in 1963, latest revision in 1969, effective May 14, 1969.
G. Chapter VII, Production, Distribution and Sale of
Certified Milk, Cream and Skim Milk, as promulgated in 1920, latest
revision in 1953.
H. Chapter VIII, Refuse Disposal, as promulgated in 1962,
latest revision in 1970, effective July 1, 1970.
I. Chapter IX, Mobile Home Parks, as promulgated in 1963,
latest revision in 1968.
J. Chapter X, Collection, Processing, Storage and Distribution
of Blood (Blood Banks), as promulgated in July 1963, latest revision
February 1970.
K. Chapter XI, Campgrounds, as promulgated in 1968, effective
September 1, 1968.
L. Chapter XII, Construction, Operation and Maintenance
of Retail Food Establishments, as promulgated in 1972.
M. Chapter XIII, Lead Poisoning, as promulgated in 1972.
One copy of said New Jersey State Sanitary Code,
Chapters I through XIII, has been placed on file in the office of
the Health Officer of the North Arlington Board of Health upon the
introduction of this chapter, and will remain on file there for use
and examination by the public.
Any person who violates or neglects to comply
with any provision of this chapter or the code adopted herein or notice
issued pursuant thereto shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject
to a penalty of not less than $25 nor more than $500 for each violation,
as provided by N.J.S.A. 26:1A-10.

Said Sanitary Code is hereby amended and changed
as follows:
B. Chapter XII, Section 8.1.13 is added to read as follows:
8.1.13. Each vendor as provided
herein shall be licensed by the Board of Health of the Borough of
North Arlington and subject to its inspection.
