A Golf Course Committee, consisting of five
members, is hereby created and established. The Committee is organized
as an advisory committee subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-6
et seq., the Open Public Meetings Act.
A.Â
The Mayor shall nominate and, with the advice and
consent of the Council, appoint all members and alternate members
of the Committee.
B.Â
The term of each member of the Committee shall be
three years, however, the terms of two of the initial members shall
be for two years, and the term of one of the initial members shall
be for one year.

The Committee shall elect a Chairperson and other
officers as it may deem advisable from its numbers.

Number of
alternate members. The Mayor shall appoint three alternate members
to the Committee. Alternate members shall be designated at the time
of appointment by the Mayor as "Alternate No. 1," "Alternate No. 2"
and "Alternate No. 3." The terms of the alternate members shall be
for two years, except that the terms of the alternate members shall
be staggered by the appointment of one of the alternates for an initial
term of one year.

Alternate members may participate in all matters but
may not vote except in the absence or disqualification of a regular
member of any class. A vote shall not be delayed in order that a regular
member may vote instead of an alternate member. In the event that
a choice must be made as to which alternate member is to vote, Alternate
No. 1 shall vote if one alternat
The Golf Course Committee shall review and advise
the Mayor and Council on policy and regulations concerning golf memberships,
fees and all other golf-related activities carried on in connection
therewith.
