It shall be unlawful for any owner or occupant of premises abutting
or bordering upon any street, avenue or highway of the Township to
allow any brush, weeds or other obnoxious growth or impediment to
grow thereon or to allow anywhere within the Township, the accumulation
of dying trees which will prevent free or uninterrupted passage or
become a public health, safety or fire hazard thereon.

Any owner or occupant of any premises, neglecting to remove
any brush, weeds, dead or dying trees or other obnoxious growth, filth,
garbage, trash and debris, auto bodies and parts or other impediments
from the lands and premises in the Township within 10 days after being
notified to remove the same by Mayor or members of the Township Committee
or an appropriate officer designated by them, shall be deemed as having
failed to comply with this chapter.
Upon the failure of any owner or occupant of any premises to
remove any brush, weeds, debris, auto bodies and parts, within the
10 days after notification, the Township Committee or designated officer
shall cause the same to be removed, and the cost thereof, as nearly
as can be ascertained, shall be certified to the officer or officers
whose duty it is to assess and levy the taxes of the Township. The
cost shall thereupon be charged against the lands and premises and
become and be a first and paramount lien upon the lands and premises,
and shall be added to and become and form a part of the taxes assessed
against the lands and premises, and collected with and in the same
manner as the taxes next to be assessed and levied upon the lands
and premises. The same is to bear interest at the same rate as taxes,
and shall be collected and enforced by the same officers and in the
same manner as taxes.

For violation of any provision of this chapter, the penalties as set forth in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Art.
III, General Penalty, shall apply.
