The City Council may amend this Zoning chapter in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code,[1] as said code may from time to time be amended, revised or reenacted.

The following list of boundaries briefly describes the location of the zoning districts as indicated on the Zoning Map of the City of Sunbury.[1]
A. 
Floodplain District: the area designated on the Flood Hazard Boundary Map prepared for the City of Sunbury by the Federal Insurance Administration of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
B. 
Open Space District:
(1) 
All of the land of the Sunbury Municipal Authority water treatment plant bounded by Shamokin Creek and the City line.
(2) 
All of the land bounded as follows: Beginning at Front Street at the northern City line; thence along Front Street to a point opposite the northern extension of the flood control levee; thence across Front Street to the levee; thence along the levee to ConRail lines; thence along ConRail lines to the City line; thence along the City line to the place of beginning.
