[Adopted 12-28-1995 by Ord. No. 95-4]
The recently adopted new Second Class Township Code, Act 95-60, now amends the guidelines and limitations for compensation of supervisors of the second class including Union Township.
In townships having a population (in accordance with their latest census) of not more than 4,999 persons, supervisors may be compensated in an amount not to exceed $1,875 per year. The population of Union Township is less than 4,999 persons and the amended Second Class Township Code authorizes the Board of Supervisors of second class townships to determine their compensation.
Each supervisor of Union Township elected or appointed to office on or after the effective date of this article shall receive compensation as a supervisor in an annual amount of $1,875.
Such compensation shall be paid in monthly or quarterly installments at the election of each of the supervisors.
