The purpose of this district is to provide logical
locations for all businesses of a more general nature than might be
expected to be found in a neighborhood. The businesses proposed include
retail, wholesale and some light processing operations.
The regulations contained in this article and
applicable regulations contained in other articles shall apply in
the B-G General Business District.
In the B-G General Business District, the following
principal uses shall be permitted:
A. Retail trades, businesses and services of a general
commercial nature, including the following:
(2) Automobile, trailer or implement sales, service and
repair establishments, including motorcycle shops.
(3) Bottling of soft drink or milk or distribution stations
therefor.
(5) Carpentry or woodworking shops.
(7) Drive-in eating and drinking establishments.

Newspaper publishing establishments.

Schools: Business, dancing, music, trade or
other commercial nature.

Signs, outdoor advertising, subject to the provisions of §
250-84.

Telephone central office or service center.
(21)
Wholesale business, warehousing or service establishments.
B. Planned business centers, subject to the provisions of §
250-86.
C. Dwellings, single-family.

D. Churches, schools and colleges.
G. Offices and clinics, professional and business, including
animal hospitals or veterinary clinics without runways.
I. Schools: business, dancing, music, trade or other
commercial nature or day-care centers.
J. Social clubs, fraternal organizations, community meeting
halls.
In the B-G General Business District, the following
conditional uses require Board authorization:
A. Building material sales and storage yards.
B. Feed and grain sales, milling and/or storage.
C. Outdoor drive-in theaters.
D. Animal hospitals, veterinary clinics, and kennels
with runways.
E. Nursery schools or day-care centers as defined in §
250-125.

F. Cannabis businesses and hemp businesses as defined in §
250-125, subject to the restrictions contained in §
250-9.

In the B-G General Business District, the following
accessory uses shall be allowed:
A. Uses and structures customarily accessory and incidental to any principal permitted use or authorized conditional use, including business signs pertaining to a use on the premises, provided that such signs are located as regulated in §
250-83.
No structure shall exceed 50 feet in height, except as provided in §
250-94.
