A journeyman plumber, master or employing plumber
shall be present at all times when work is being performed on any
premises within the City of North Tonawanda, involving the original
installation, alteration, repair or maintenance of general plumbing.
A.Â
A journeyman plumber's license shall be issued by
the City Clerk to any person upon receipt of a certificate from the
Examining Board of Plumbers showing that such person has satisfactorily
passed the examination held by said Board and upon receipt of the
license fee therefor.
B.Â
The applicants shall have a minimum of five years
of practical experience in the trade or business of plumbing and drainage
under the supervision of a master or employing plumber and shall be
at least 23 years of age. Proof of practical experience and age shall
be submitted to the examiner's before being admitted to the examination.
The fee for the journeyman plumber examination
shall be $50.
The fee for a journeyman plumber's license shall
be $50 per year, prorated for a part thereof, each license expiring
on December 31 next after issuance.
Each person, firm or corporation holding a valid
certificate of competence or license as a journeyman plumber shall
register with the City Clerk each year prior to January 31 by securing
a journeyman plumber's license. All annual license fees payable after
January 1, 1974, shall be paid in full before issuance of any subsequent
renewal license.
