It is the declared policy of the Township of
Stillwater that subsequent to the passage of this chapter, a criminal
history record and driver's license check, including the fingerprinting
of applicants, shall be required for:
A. All new full-time employees hired by the Township;
B. All current employees who are required to operate
Township-owned vehicles;
C. All present and future members of the Township Fire
Department and First Aid and Rescue Squad; and
D. Every person or organization listed on applications
for alcoholic beverage licenses of any class or any renewal thereof.
All requested criminal history records and driver's
license checks shall be subject to the state's required user fee unless
waived by the Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police.
All information secured as a result of the criminal
history and driver's license record checks shall be confidential and
shall be released only to appropriate officials of the Township of
Stillwater involved in reviewing and acting on applications.
