Editor's Note: This local law was subject to a permissive referendum and, no valid petition requesting such referendum having been filed, was deemed duly adopted on September 22, 1978.
The Town Clerk of the Town of Manchester may issue a permit for the conducting of games of chance in the corporate limits of the Village of Shortsville, as authorized by the Constitution of the State of New York and by § 187 of the General Municipal Law. Such permit shall be issued only in accordance with state law and subject to the same conditions or limitations imposed on the conduct of games of chance in the unincorporated area of the town.
This chapter shall remain in effect until superseded or repealed as provided in state law, and the Town Clerk shall have the authority granted by this chapter only as long as the Clerk has authority to issue permits in the unincorporated area of the Town of Manchester.
