No person, firm, partnership or corporation shall hereafter
conduct or maintain any pool or billiard parlor without having first
obtained a license approved by the Municipal Council of the Borough
of Lodi.
Upon the approval of the Borough Council, a license shall be
issued by the Borough Clerk. If application is denied, the licensing
fee shall be returned to the applicant. All licenses shall run from
July 1 to June 30 of the following calendar year.
The annual license fee for any license issued hereunder shall be as set forth in Chapter
235, Article
IV, Fee Schedule; a separate fee is charged for each pool, billiard or game table located or to be located in the licensed premises.
The application for and issuance of license hereunder shall
not absolve the licensee from obtaining other permits and licenses
which may otherwise be required under applicable statute, ordinance
or regulation.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $2,000, imprisonment
for a period not exceeding 90 days and/or a period of community service
not exceeding 90 days.
