Editor’s Note: Local Law No. 1-2011, adopted 2-1-2011, authorized the amending of the fee schedule by resolution of the Village Board.
Upon the filing of an application for a building permit, variance, sign permit, zoning permit, etc., the following fees, which will be fifty-percent refundable if the permit is not approved, shall be payable:
A. 
Building permit. For buildings in the classification hereinafter enumerated, such fees shall be in accordance with the class of use, unit size, cubic contents or value of the project as set forth in the following (all habitable areas shall be considered as floor area):
(1) 
For one- or two-car private garage, whether attached to dwellings or unattached thereto:
(a) 
If included with original construction: $50.
(b) 
If added after original construction: $75.
(2) 
For one- or two-family dwelling, structural alterations, additions, enlargements or conversions to or in existing structure, such as the completion of expansion attics so as to make additional rooms, or the addition of additional rooms to existing structures, or adding, extending or enclosing porches:
(a) 
When the value of the project is $1,000 or less: $40.
(b) 
For each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof up to and including $15,000: $5.
(c) 
For each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof up to and including $50,000: $4.
(d) 
For each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof exceeding $50,000: $3.
(3) 
For a one-family dwelling (floor area of a building is determined by using the exterior dimensions of the building):
(a) 
Having 1,000 square feet of floor area or less: $200.
(b) 
Having more than 1,000 square feet up to and including 2,000 square feet of floor area per unit: $250.
(c) 
Having more than 2,000 square feet up to and including 3,000 square feet of floor area per unit: $300.
(d) 
Having more than 3,000 square feet of floor area: $400.
(4) 
For a two-family dwelling (floor area of a building is determined by using the exterior dimensions of the building), each unit:
(a) 
Having 1,000 square feet of floor area or less: $200.
(b) 
Having more than 1,000 square feet up to and including 2,000 square feet of floor area: $250.
(c) 
Having more than 2,000 square feet up to and including $3,000 square feet of floor area: $300.
(d) 
Having more than 3,000 square feet of floor area: $400.
(5) 
For a combination of one or two dwelling units and business use in a building (floor area of a building is determined by using the exterior dimensions of the building; proposed rooms shown on plans such as family, recreation, toilet and laundry rooms shall be considered as floor area):
(a) 
Dwelling units. Each unit:

Having 1,000 square feet of floor area or less per unit: $125.
[2] 
Having more than 1,000 square feet up to and including 2,000 square feet of floor area per unit: $150.
[3] 
Having more than 2,000 square feet up to and including 3,000 square feet of floor area per unit: $200.

Having more than 3,000 square feet of floor area per unit: $300.
(b) 
Business use. Each unit:

For the first 10,000 cubic feet of volume: $250.
[2] 
For the next 40,000 cubic feet, each 1,000 cubic feet thereof: $6.
[3] 
For each 1,000 cubic feet over 50,000 cubic feet: $4.
(6) 
For buildings containing more than two dwelling units (multiple dwellings such as apartment houses, hotels, motels, etc.), the charge for permits shall be based upon cubic contents as follows (volume of building is determined by using the exterior dimensions of the building; volume should include all attic or concealed spaces two feet below bottom of slab for slab on grade buildings and to the underside of basement or cellar floor for all other buildings):
(a) 
For the first 10,000 cubic feet of volume: $400.
(b) 
For the next 20,000 cubic feet, for each 1,000 cubic feet thereof: $6.
(c) 
For each 1,000 cubic feet over 30,000 cubic feet: $4.
(7) 
For a building of nonresidential occupancy:
(a) 
For the first 10,000 cubic feet of volume: $300.
(b) 
For the next 40,000 cubic feet, each 1,000 cubic feet thereof: $5.
(c) 
For each 1,000 cubic feet over 50,000 cubic feet: $1.
B. 
Sign permit: $150. A separate sign permit for each sign is required.

Application for an appeal to the Zoning Board of Appeals or special use permit to the Zoning Board of Appeals: $350.

A. 
Water usage fee.
(1) 
The minimum semiannual charge (also referred to as "base rate") shall be $103 per unit.
(2) 
Premises located outside the Village limits shall be subject to a minimum semiannual charge of $206 per unit (double the residential base rate).
(3) 
Units using less than 10,000 gallons of water between official meter readings shall be subject to a minimum semiannual charge of 1/2 the base rate rounded off ($52 for residents and $103 for nonresidents).

A usage fee of $25 (semiannually) will be added to all water units inside/outside in support of the $1.4 million groundwater project.

B. 
Excess water usage fee (rounded off). The minimum semiannual charge shall cover the first 20,000 gallons per unit of metered use for each semiannual billing period. Usage in excess of the allowance of 20,000 gallons per unit for each semiannual period shall be billed in accordance with the following schedule on a semiannual basis for commercial and residential property:
