The purpose of this article is to authorize the Township Clerk
and/or his designee to be the issuing authority for all licenses for
raffles, bingo and legalized games of chance and also to establish
fees for raffles, bingo and legalized games of chance, said fees to
be equal to those established by the Legalized Games of Chance Control
Commission of the State of New Jersey or any other successive New
Jersey authority.
This article authorizes the Township Clerk or his designee to
collect a fee for raffles, bingo and games of chance, licensed in
an amount equal to that charged by the New Jersey Legalized Games
of Chance Control Commission or any successive state agency establishing
said fees. It also authorizes the Clerk and/or his designee to review
applications for licenses in accordance with the application rules
governing the same and, if deemed acceptable, the Clerk and/or his
designee shall issue the applicable license for the raffle, bingo
and legalized game of chance as provided by law.
Any person who violates any one or more sections of this article
shall be subject to a fine of not more than $250 for each separate
offense and/or confinement in the Monmouth County Jail for a period
of not more than 30 days.
