Before the drilling of any well, whether for a new well or replacement of an old well, a permit must first be issued by the Building Department of the Village of Greenwood Lake. The form of such permit application and permit shall be as prescribed by the Building Department and shall be subject to review and approval by the Village Engineer. The Building Department reserves the right to deny any application for the drilling of any well upon land which is situated within or serviced by the municipal water supply system of the Village of Greenwood Lake.
Upon completion of the installation of any such well, a copy of New York State Department of Conservation Well Completion Report (or such similar report as prescribed by the Building Department) shall be filed with the Building Department of the Village of Greenwood Lake, which report shall detail the profile, the output, the depth and the location of the well.
The Building Department, upon ascertaining that the well complies with all applicable local, county and state regulations, shall issue a certificate of compliance therefor.
A. 
A fee shall be charged for the well permit in accordance with the Village of Greenwood Lake Schedule of Fees.[1]

No fee shall be charged for the certificate of compliance. The form of the certificate of compliance shall be as prescribed by the Building Department.
