As used in this article, "laser pointer," "laser beam" and "laser
beam device" mean any device containing a diode laser that emits an
intense beam of light, whether classified as:
A. A Class 3a diode laser in the 630-680 nm wavelength with power output
in the 1 mw to 5 mw range;
B. A Class 2 laser with an output of less than 1 mw; or
C. A Class 3(b) or Class 4 laser; and whether or not the laser emits
a red, green or other colored beam, and whether or not the devices
contain or are required to contain any FDA warning.
